Austra College is a growing Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering a range of Hospitality and Trade qualifications to domestic and international students.
As an Administration Officer, you will be an important part of the day-to-day operations of Austra College. You will work closely with students, trainers, assessors, management, compliance, student services, accounts and other internal stakeholders to ensure our administrative and student processes are completed accurately and on time. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how an RTO operates and is comfortable working across student administration, enrolments, records, systems and compliance-related processes.
Key responsibilities
Managing day-to-day administration activities within the RTO
Processing student enrolments and maintaining accurate enrolment records
Assisting with student admissions and onboarding processes
Managing student documentation and following up outstanding documents
Updating and maintaining student information in the Student Management System
Completing and managing enrolment processes through LMS and RTO management systems
Using PRISMS for relevant international student administration and enrolment processes
Assisting with CoE-related administrative processes and maintaining accurate student information
Monitoring and updating student attendance and course-related records
Assisting with student course progress and administrative follow-ups
About you
Minimum 2 years' experience working in an Australian RTO
Previous experience specifically in RTO administration, student administration, admissions or a similar role
Practical experience with PRISMS
Experience processing student enrolments through an LMS or Student Management System
Good understanding of how administration operates within an RTO environment
Experience maintaining student records and documentation
Strong knowledge of administrative processes relating to students and training delivery
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You should be comfortable working across multiple systems and platforms, including:
PRISMS
Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Student Management Systems (SMS)
Preffered Axcelerate experience but not mandatory.
Microsoft Office
Online student portals
Document management systems

Can confidently manage enrolments and student records.
Understands the importance of accurate documentation and compliance.
Has practical experience using PRISMS and LMS/SMS platforms.
Is confident communicating with students, trainers, assessors and management.
Takes ownership of their work and follows tasks through to completion.
Is reliable, organised and detail-oriented.
Can identify issues and take initiative to resolve them.
Is willing to work as part of a growing team.
Has a positive and professional attitude.
Most importantly, you must have previous experience working in an Australian RTO.
